The black screen happens about five minutes, maybe a little less, after booting up, but, not all the time. Anyone know what this could be a symptom of? Rob The next time it happens turn your monitor off, count to 10, then turn it back on. If that fixes it, it's a monitor hardware problem.

I removed the Adaptec card with the 1.11 BIOS, so the only Adaptec in the box was at BIOS v1.23; still got the Black Screen of Death. So then I upgraded the Millennium BIOS to v2.5. This changed things: now instead of getting a Black Screen of Death, I get a *BLUE* Screen of Death ("KMODE_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED")!

I installed the 3.69 drivers and still get a black screen when trying to boot normally. So - will 2000 work with this card in anything but vga mode? If not, would a V3 2000 work? I immediately receive a 'Black Screen of Death' error message from Windows, when attempting either. (If necessary, I can reproduce it and relay it verbatim, but I am hoping this is a common problem with a simple solution.) I am running on Windows 98 and have the latest Iomega drivers for the Zip drive.

Here's what happens: It runs the introduction and brings me to the character selection screen. After I select my character the screen goes black. I can hear music, but no video.
